6 Ways To Liberate Yourself From Toxic Habits!

We’ve all been in situations where it feels as if your life is on replay, as if you were in a time loop.

Things are happening, events are exchanging but somehow its all the same experiences day after day… Monotonous. Different situations yet the same outcome. When this occurs it often takes a lot of time to become aware of it, and then even longer to use the awareness as a weapon to finally change our life GPS to take us in the right direction towards our own unlimited abundance site. By changing our perception and investing time in changing our habits to finally ‘break through’ and grow again. Sounds easy in theory I know, but it can be one of the most difficult tasks in life, because in order to do so we have to open our eyes and be truthful to ourselves… And as Jack Nicholson said in ‘A Few Good Men’, “You can’t handle the truth!” Doing this is like changing our spiritual DNA.

“Habits change into character.” – Ovid

Many of our habits we adopted from our parents, then later from our environment. The majority of our habits are the product of the people we surround ourselves with.Without developing our own awareness, often times we take on other people’s views and dogma, and begin to think of our lives in a certain way ukroids.club, which eventually turns into a habit. And don’t get me wrong, if you surround yourself with successful people, you give yourself the opportunity to habitualize some amazing habits, however surround yourself with negative people the habits you may pick up could change your life for the worse. Bad habits often block us from developing ourselves further, living to our full potential. To release all these habits that are sucking the energy out of us and that feel as if a weight is placed on our back, we must first of all become aware of the voice in our head. We need to rid ourselves of the room-mates in our head such as fear & doubt and replace them with courage and belief. It’s not easy but the most important thing to remember is, it’s 100% possible. There are seeds of greatness planted in all of us!

Not until we are able to make a real change of our habits, are we able to move forward and experience something different, something better.

“Until you remove the noise, you’re going to miss a lot of signal.” – Seth Godin

We become so used to our “normal” behaviours and patterns that we feel it’s almost impossible to break free, however this couldn’t be further from the truth. You must remember you always have the power to think different; this is the only thing in life that no one can take away from you.

Some of the most common and toxic habits that block us from spreading our wings and experiencing our full potential are; fear, resentment, complaining, envy, drama and worry. Talking about problems is a habit, gossiping and judging is a habit, believing in negative outcomes and always thinking negatively is a habit. All these habits create certain automatic behaviours that severely block our spiritual and personal development.

“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” – Henry Ford

We are all are born with an objective life energy. As time goes on and experiences exchange one after the other, our journey starts to experience certain burdens of toxic events that pollute our energy and block us from growing. Remember back to when you were once hurt, for example someone betrayed you, whether it was a parent, friend or colleague, you felt emotional pain, even if you are not consciously aware of it, it stays memorised on your subconscious brain. Once this occurs the brain will try to protect itself from that fear of having that same experience occur again. However this is paradoxical and this very act will block you from experiencing anything different to break that negative viewpoint or belief. We are blocked by our fear that we’ll experience the same pain again.

We will keep attracting the same experiences and won’t be able to move on until we learn the spiritual lesson and change the way we think. Some of the tools that help us clean ourselves from the inside are; removing our ego, forgiveness and always love. Love is the best cleanser.

“Don’t let negative pictures play on the movie screen of your mind. You own the remote control. All you have to do is change the channel.” – Unknown

We have to clear our minds from the noise of the past to be able to hear the sound of our future.

Here are my six techniques to break through, gain clarity and eliminate toxic habits to move yourself back on track:

1. Don’t judge.
When you judge you are subconsciously comparing yourself to others. Being in a state of competition blocks us from a state of creation. Create your own journey and look ahead, do not compete with people behind you.

“Judging a person does not define who they are… It defines who you are.” – Unknown

2. Let go of the past.

One of the most common behaviours is letting the past control your present, and then future. Be thankful for all of your past experiences. Don’t take it personally when you feel someone has wronged you. Most of the time it has absolutely nothing to do with you and is only their lack of awareness.

I am stronger because of the hard times, wiser because of my mistakes, and happier because I have known sadness. Every situation is a teacher, every broken heart was for a reason, and every tear was to clear the path in front of you so that you can see better. All of these situations are opportunities, depending on how YOU look at them.

“There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called yesterday, and the other is called tomorrow.” – Dalai Llama

3. Eliminate negative thoughts.

Let go of negative thoughts. They become parasites in our heads, and feed and multiply with every negative thought. Let them go and replace them with new, affirming positive messages. Practice replacing negative thoughts with positive affirmations, do this for 30 days and you will see a huge change in your behaviour. Believe that the best things are about to come!

4. Remove people that weigh you down.

Trust your own truth. Remove the people that weigh you down. If someone makes you feel miserable more than they make you happy, you have to respect yourself enough to let them go. Until you remove that negativity you will not be able to grow. Be full of care when letting new people into your life.

“When people seek to undermine your dreams, predict your doom or criticize you, remember that they are telling you their story, not yours.” – Cynthia Occelli

5. Be open for change.

Say ‘yes’ to taking chances, and be your best friend. It takes courage to be happy. YOU are the only vehicle that will get YOU where YOU want to go. Start moving!

“Only by being open to change will you have a true opportunity to get the most from your talent.” – Nolan Ryan

6. Don’t be attached.

Attachment always leads to disappointment. Work on disconnecting yourself every day, and instead of being attached to outcomes, connect with your inner self, meditate, and take a walk in a nature. Enjoy the small joys in life. The only thing to be attached to is detachment.

Always remember, it’s our habits that create who we are. One of the most important things in life is being able to let go. I encourage you try a 30 day test that whenever a negative thought enter your head you replace it with a positive affirmative message, and try to go another 30 days without a negative thought. If you can reach 30 days without a negative thought, I promise the noise around you will start sounding like music!
